Cheato not floating

My Cheato sinks to the bottom of my refugium. Isn't Cheato aslo called "Floating Alge"? Is the sinking a problem?

my chaeto sinks.

up until recently, my chaeto started growing again. had a combo of a lot of tank problems.

it is suppsed to sink what it does is that it will not attch to sand or rock. so it kinda floats and rolls along the snad due to current. if you raise the water flow then the chaeto will move more. but no it does not have to float. mine sinks

is it supposed to float around? are there any pruning rules for chaeto?

does not float. prune it back when the growth slows or it fills the fuge.

Can it be put directly in the tank. Maybe attached to a rock with rubber band or something to hold it.
