Check out what I saw at a LFS.

i bet he is scared by the large angel and thats why he isnt coming out in the am. he should be adjusted to the light schedual by now. mine adjusted in 1 day. it wasnt a choati tho.

The Watanabei and the Choati were in the same tank at the lfs. I didn't see and aggression from the Watanabei toward the Choati at the lfs and in the qt. In fact the angel wasn't eating until he saw the Choati ate.

Im not saying there is aggression, but there COULD be a factor of intimidation. Im no expert though, just trying to think about his environment and go from there. I doubt they were in the same tank at the supplier or in the wild. JM2C

Thanks, I will give it until end of the week, if Choati doesn't come out. I'll move the Angel into a 20L qt.

The male Watanabei was still eating great last night, but still no sign of the Choati. I just got a call from the lfs where I bought them from, they said they just got in two 3" female Watanabei. They are pricing them at $119, but will let me have them at $89 each. I will probably stop by this weekend to see how they look.

I just ordered a small female wantanbei , I have a large female and am hoping to pair them up. I also got the coolest little multicolor pair today. what a fish

the female watanabei we ordered arrived yesterday at the lfs. They will be doing a simple qt (no meds) but was wondering if I would be able to get away with a small qt just for her? She is on the smaller side.

What is the LFS in Allen? I'm in Plano quite often and would like to check it out?

I would at the bare minimum qt it with parazipro, as most angels are bad with flukes and internal parasite. How small is your small QT? I think a 20gal will be more than enough. Good luck with yours.

I stopped by the lfs earlier, they had sold one of the female Watanabei. The one left is supposed to be the bigger of the 2 they have. She's a little small about 2.5-3", probably less than 1/2 the size of the male I bought. Told them to feed her and she was eating very well. I bought her and will pick her up on Saturday.

Thats awesome you should post pics of her when you can.

I was in a hurry, so didn't get a chance to take a pic while I'm there. The female Masked Swallowtail is still there and she's looking better and is eating now.

My choati came out for about 15mins tonight, managed to feed him some mysis. I took some pictures of him while he's out, I will post them when I get a chance.

Took a picture of the Choati tonight.

Awesome picks all I have here is alfs that doesn't know the difference between a wrasses and a clownfish or an anemone and a coral last time I was there they said check out this coral and I walked over there and it was a sebae anemone

I don't really want to take a chance with a fish that price that is not looking very healthy. I will see how she looks when I stop by the lfs later today.

I absolutely agree on the health, if you dont mind me asking what was the price?
