Here are a couple of pics of the Choati in the display taken this weekend. I have him for slightly over 2 weeks now, look like he is gaining some weight. He is becoming one of my favorite fish.
One of my lfs had a masked swallowtail angel as well but it was a little banged up. Good luck with the Choati. Those are great wrasses. I spoke to a rep at Quality Marine and they said that they and their customers have had very good luck keeping them alive.
Look like the Choati has 9am-5pm schedule, can never see him on weekdays. Hopefully he will adjust to the light schedule soon. As for the Male Watanabei, it's still doing great, even eating pellets and nori now. But look like his stripes are fading a little, maybe changing to female.
It has been about a month since I bought them. Both the Choati and Male Watanabei are still doing great. But the Male Watanabei stripes continue to fade even with a female Watanabei in the tank.
The problem I have with the Choati is that he is not adjusting to the light schedule, he is always out from about 9am-5pm, so I don't get to feed him during work days. He ate a bunch during the 4 days Thanksgiving holiday.
The Chaoti and Watanabei pair are still doing great. Eating pellets, mysis, nori, basically everything I feed. The Chaoti is getting fat. The male Watanabei lost most his stripes after about 1-2 months in the tank. I will try to take some new pictures and post them this week.
I thought I will update this thread. I have both Chaoti and Watanabei for over 9 months now. The Male Watanabei turned into a female even with a female Watanabei with him. The Chaoti is still doing great. I took a short video of my tank the other day, you should be able to see the Chaoti and both the Watanabei in the video.
Just a quick update, my Choati is still doing great along with my Watanabei Angel Pair. The Male Watanabei decided to turn back to Male again a few months ago. I will take some pics when I get a chance.
Wow I love your leopard wrasse!! I wish I could have one but my tank is too small! And I have also been told I'm over stocked, I say if everything is doing good you aren't overstocked! Haha, also what size tank so you have?
