Cheektowaga reef store robbed?

I hope his cameras date back far enough that he can find them there scoping stuff out during the daylight as well.

Either someone else went in and gave them a break down of what was in what tank, or they themselves had to have been in there in the past week or two I would imagine.

Either way I hope they get busted hard.

This is down right disgusting and disturbing. I hope someone can recognize these thieves and help put them away. Randy, I can sympathize. As if the normal daily grind of running a shop wasn't enough, have to deal with this bull. Let me know if there is anything I can help with.

welp my belly counts me out :)..

But in serious, this is a bunch of crap..As small as the local reefing community is,it makes me wonder and second guess people I invite to my home to trade frags..

Allot of us here know Randy and as great of a guy he is, this garbage should not happen..I will stop by and buy some stuff from you Randy to help you rebound,I know it will be a biatch to recover from such a loss..

what dirtbags

All of us in the Rochester Area are on the lookout and spreading the word. Someone has to recognize these guys.

With my less than keen old eyes viewing the less than high defintion video, one may be female.

well the store gets their money back from insurance ... maybe even more, right ?

I really hope they catch these ppl, and if its anything down there like it is here, the store owners or employees should be able to ID who those ppl are ! my LFS around here know all their customers from the back of their head lol

really sad to see ppl sink this low .... specially if they ae hobbyists !!! which seems like they are ... not only should they be charged with robbery, but also for hurting animals.

This sucks, but these guys are done thanks to one hell of a video setup. Hope Randy can recover some stuff.

You can't insure the loss of aquarium livestock through any normal insurance policies that I'm aware of. Maybe it's different when it comes to theft... but I doubt it.

hmm not sure.
we had a store up here in Toronto, and last year all their tanks got "poisoned" by bleach supopsedly.

everything died, and they had no camera set up.

supposedly insurance company replaced the money, and they closed down the store shortly after that !

lol that was a bit awkward, but I hope there is some sort of insurance that Randy had ... I know I would be REALLY mad lol

Speechless

Sorry to hear about this Randy & crew.

I posted the wgrz news link on facebook. I didn't know about the robbery until I saw it posted here, so if any of you are on facebook, post it, as that would increase the chances of someone recognizing those jerks.

Link shared. Hope the idiots get caught and pay their penance for this. You'd think if they're stupid enough to pull this crap their prints have already entered the system somewhere along the way... here's hopin'.

My daughter and I had the pleasure of meeting Randy O during my trek up there to Steve H's frag meet way back when. What an incredible store. Sorry this had to happen to such a good guy. Good luck Randy hope they catch the low life people that did this.

I thought the same thing.

I certainly hope they catch whoever is responsible and Randy is able to recover his livestock and stuff.

Criminals suck. :(

Came here since I saw the video link posted on a small local SW board.

Hopefully the store owner can at least get the satisfaction of seeing them prosecuted. We had a lesser event locally a few years back when the thief was caught on camera pocketing clams and corals while the store was open. I don't think they ever got caught.
