i use it and get about two months out of it before i start to notice a change in my water quality....

I ran it in reactor like GFO. Works well, replace monthly like carbon and GFO.

everyone is going to diffrent just for the pure fact of diffrent bio loads and diffrent equipment.So i just keep a close check on water paramiters and go from there is said i get about 3 months out of one in my 90 gallon

Also keep in mind what you are getting with it, chemi pure elite is a high grade carbon, a little Granular Ferric Oxide and some resins that are known to be only reactive in freashwater, That being said it is a good carbon and most likey where most people see te results from.
To achive the same or even better results you could look at using GFO and ROX .08
