Hello,

I am going to dose Chemiclean this evening, can I just run my air stones in the sump or do they to run in the main display?

Its recommended in the instructions for extra oxygenation.

Oxygenation can occur anywhere in the system. The sump is actually a better choice so that you can avoid microbubbles in the DT.

If you can run the skimmer without the cup that will also help.
That's what I do & no air stones but I also have surface movement.

I used it once and didn't use air stones. The circulation in my tank and sump is high and the surface area is pretty large so gas exchange was already high. Air stones wouldn't appreciably raise the O2 level. However, if I was going to use them, I'd put them in the sump prior to a baffle. Simply taking the cap off the skimmer is a great idea also. It will bubble/overflow a lot though once you add the chemicleen.

I have no sump when i used chemiclean in my 55g hex. I just use a small airstone right in the tank. Bubbles didnt do anything to my corals or fish
