Great options out there. That Nova A6 looks awesome for the price! Dimmable, 180W:72LED, customizable.

I'm also shopping for LED's for my cabinets and ceiling lights on AliExpress...this stuff (LEDs) are way cheaper than going to Home Depot!

Well it looks like I have to open a dispute with Twilight. Did not realize that you only have a limited time to respond before they assume that you are happy with your order and automatically release payment. I still have not received my other fixture and not real happy with the layout of the light. So we will see how this goes. Still hoping that Twilight will work with me to get these issues resolved because I like the controller function and it seems they are the only one that has it right now.

Travis, tank looks even better now. Any noticeable growth?

Thanks man well there is growth in some things a few sps and mostly my orange plate coral ... but besides that not much growth wise but nothing is unhappy.

Remember also I was concerned about spread so I went with the 120 degree lense they then offered so my light isn't as intense as those with the 90 degree ones ... I still love it though can't wait to get more for my upgrade. I actually set up a nano in my sons room yesterday I'm gonna put this one on there I believe and get one with a little different ratio in mine with 90 degree lenses..... not sure if I should add optics or not

Travis good looking tank!
One thing I've noticed is the blue Brings out some good color. I got a even mix of 24 each and right now I have blue at 85% and whites at 45 to acclimate everything

Since you didn't get the other light, open a dispute asap.

As far as the other crappy light goes, dispute that as well. For me, I'm either going to replace leds, or just convert it into another DIY light with Crees. I could get away with using the same drivers and the controller, and would make it look 10x better than it does now.

As far as Twilight themselves goes, I do not recommend them at all based on the poor quality of the lights we received. There are other companies out there with better products, who treat their customers better.

As far as controllers go, Eshine and Houyi have nice looking models with them right now, and other options will be available soon.

I have opened a dispute so we'll see where this goes. I sent Lyn a grid pattern dimmer design to see if they have a PCB to match. That should eliminate the problem we are having. I was hoping that I could modify the existing light into a grid pattern, but the PCB does not allow it. I have been looking at other options and found a Houyi that had a controller built in. I'll keep looking and post what I find to get feedback.

Bhazard - with the twilight unit you have are you sure you can use the same pcb board for crees? when I asked about getting crees instead of the epistar LEDs Simon said they would need to make a new pcb board and it would be more expensive so wouldn't recommend it.

Lyn told me $150USD extra to go with Crees to cover cost of new PCB along with $0.96USD extra per LED.

No. I would do what I did with my Nova. I would ditch the entire pcb board completely and wire up crees on stars. They can be attached with thermal adhesive to the heatsink.

Since the drivers are only running at 630mah, it would be a bit of a waste to use crees though. I just ordered 20 Bridgelux CW and WW leds and I'll add them in.
