Yeah, that looks pretty sweet GP.

I also talked with Simon, and I must say I think I found a new light to look into. I dont like that the violet is 400nm and not 420, but whatever.

"1> we have no 420nm spectrum, I suggest 400nm, so blue460nm:white14000k:red630nm:green515nm:orange610nm:violet400nm=34:15:1:2:2:1, is this OK?

2> 60 degree optics.

2> The unit price for 1~9pcs samples: 189USD/pcs, if over 10pcs, we will give you some discount.

4> Shipping cost of 1pcs: 59USD, shipped by DHL, door to door service, if you buy 4pcs, the shipping cost will be much lower.

5> our driver is 0~10v dimmable."

Bridgelux d120 55x3 with sunrise/sunset lcd.. and 0-10v dimmable drivers that I could disconnect from the lcd and run to my Apex if I wanted? For $249, with optics? I think I'm sold. I may order this to try it.

Point me toward this reef octopus knockoff. lol

Glad someone posted the link didn't want to derail this thread. Wasn't sure if it was proper :-).

On a side note do the D120's have moonlights.. I figure they couldn't be on seperate timer due to only two cords but was wondering what guys with them are doing. Maybe just manually dialing down the blues to lowest level for viewing. Prob just gonna have to leave the stick on ones I have in use now for automated. Jeez I'm gettin antsy over here waiting for this thing. I'm almost ready to order three more for my 150 build. But waiting to put it up till we buy a house in the close future. It's funny every house we look at I instantly know where the peninsula will go. And don't like the house if there is not a good spot LOL. Wife is actually looking forward to the big tank going up too. By that time I'm guessing there will be a lot more choices out as for controls and whatnot. These things are advancing so rapidly that I'm guessing in 6 months there will be ones with controlability like AI' and Ecotech. Wishful thinking. Anyways sorry for the rant. Still want to know about the moonlights ha ha.

Not all of the models have moonlights. The d120 from the Gehl company on aliexpress has moonlights, and this lcd d120 from twilight group supposedly has them too.

The light is too bright still when blue is dimmed all the way down on the d120 to use as a moonlight. Separate is best.

BHAZZARD.. OPPS SORRY FOR caps.. i to have been talking with twilight.. they say they do not know if works with apex. i asked for some internal pics.. they have a ton of other led fixtures.. one of them is a cree..if you search cree when on their site it comes up. note when looking at their site.. they have some led fixtures with simple built in timmers.. others have times and dimmers by lcd so.. in other words some fixutres you can set up to do sunrise and sunset.. you set the time and the percentage at time.. so 10% at 7 am..100 percent noon to peak then down again.. same as apex.. so my thoughts are.. the smart ones out there will figure how to connect to apex..

Thanks for the info. I did buy mine from aliexpress. I think it's made by evergrow. IDK and really don't care LOl. As long as its as good as the rest I can live without the moonlights. Again thanks for the quick response.

They don't need to know. They told me it uses 0-10v dimming drivers. If that is true, and the drivers have a DIM+ and DIM- wire connected to the lcd to control dimming via analog, it will work with the Apex. The LCD would no longer function for lighting control however, as you would need to run those wires to the Apex instead of the LCD.

That light actually seems pretty awesome, if the shipping price isn't too high. It's a d120 with optics, multi colors of leds, and a built in controller.

If it uses 0-10v dimming analog drivers, I may order one and connect it to my Apex.

Supposedly you can get a 0-10v dimming analog driver for these d120's I was going to ask Sunny or Sam tomorrow as I just saw them this morning.

Would one of the D120s be give enough coverage (spread) and intensity over a 65gal tall softy tank (36x18x24)?
If so what if any optics would be needed?

Yes. It can't get a straight answer if the led are bridgelux, cree, or a combination.

I am in touch with the Sales person from this company. This is one of the lights which I have shortlisted. But he gave me a very different price for the 48inch unit.

He said its 88 x 3W Cree 1:1 ratio.
With controller, auto timer as well as a dimmer.

But the price he quoted me was USD 570.

I have asked him to send me more pics of the product, along with spectrum details. I will update you once I receive em.
