Chinese LED Lights

The d120 is manual dim only. The new model IT120/2040 is about $100 more and has a built in sunrise/sunset controller plus moonlights, adjustable hanging kit, and a remote control.

So for the IT 120 if you have 3 would 1 remote control, controll them all at the same time?

You say the cost for these are about $280 as compared with the others for $180?

im pretty confused on the whole system of ordering and what to get. im looking to get one of these lights for my 20 long. Im new to led's and this is way confusing. i take it i only need one of these fixtures. Im thinking the IT120 would work but im not sure.

I would like to try 2 on my 90g...there are 2 different companies to get them from I guess? Which is the better co. to go with?

Hi
I am trying to establish a few things as I wanted to swap some leds. I have a d120 blue/white unit
Are the blues royal blue and the whites in them cool or warm white?
This is what the seller said 'The Blue is 460nm and the White is 12000k~14000K.
However with whites only it look yellow.
Is there any way of visually telling the difference in the blues or the whites?
Cheers

Generally, 450-460nm is considered royal blue while 460-470 is considered as standard blue.

Many people uses the "feel" of purplish to determine royal blue.

Same many people uses the "feel" of blueish tint in white to determine 12,000K

Neither case is accurate because we are talking about using human eyes as the testing instruments and more importantly different individuals. The same light may seems purplish one to one is not to the other person.

Thanks for that,
It is going to be difficult to establish which blue and white leds I have in the unit. As the supplier said 460 the Bridgelux Royal blue is 452-455nm so I am tempted to think the blues are not royal blue.
Which regards to the whites it does look cool white from the led but yellow away from the source.
I guess if I order reds violets and I could try a couple of whites and blue..

Any further help greatly appreciated..........:spin2:

Hey all - I just got my IT 2040 this weekend and i must say it is a sweet looking light. When i turned it on my friend asked if it was a tanning device LMAO. Anyway the reason i am writing is because i was curious where the 90 degree plugs are ordered from. I remember someone posting it but i couldnt find it. I think it would make for a much cleaner look.

Thanks!

well about the post with the cree and whatnot. do these companies not sell online?

I think most everyone here is dealing with the same one or two companies in China. You can find them on Alibaba, but they get shipped direct from China.

There are a few sellers on eBay that ship from the US, but you end up paying a little more.

If you're looking for a custom job though, you either have to deal with the manufacturer direct, or find a middleman willing to put the order in for you here in the US.

HTH.

The 3W LEDs on ebay can they be used to replace the leds in a d120, shipping is 20$ so it is expensive to buy 30 leds

? There are plenty of cheap 3w epistar/bridgelux leds shipped from the US on ebay. I added in cyan and red leds to my IT120 light with no issues.

Thanks I am in the UK... just crossed the pond and I see!! :)
Lots of 3W LED being offered over here from HK and China with no bridgelux branding !
