Chinese LED Lights

Hello, I have looked at getting the Programable LEDs from Reefbreeders, but their website says "they are taking preorders". it also says they are 299, and I have messaged them a couple of times and have gotten no response. has anyone else had this problem?

I had a same day response from them yesterday.

This is my 2080 layout. I am just doing it for the fun , not sure how that will come out :)

They got back to me, and after that first delay they where very fast in responding. I bought the programable fixture, now just sitting back waiting on it to get here. but all I wanna do is spend more money...

And to Hazard I hope they are paying you over there

If I was paid I wouldn't be allowed here, lol. I do it for fun, because there is so little info on leds in general, and not enough long term experiences from people to go by. I also do it because most commercial fixtures are way too expensive for what they are. I shouldn't have to pay more than my entire tank costs for its lighting.

You learn along the way, experiment, and make adjustments until you're happy.

well thanks for all the information, you were a big help in me finding a good lighting system. 300 feels like a lot of money, but what I got for that 300 seems to make it well worth it. Hope it gets here soon!

One quick question.

I run a 44 pentagon,(odd right) how hight should I hang it. could i put it right onto the glass top, and run the dimmers at 40%? or should I just hang it, and how far from the tank?

Which one did you get exactly?

Hang it 6" or more above it.

300 is good for what you get. You would be hard pressed to make your own light with a built in controller, remote control, adjustable/tiltable hanging kit and moonlights for less money.

I ordered 2 of the 24" ITSERIES ... can't wait to get them and set up my 120

Why did you go with two 24" itseries, and not wait for the36' to come out? Which is suppose to cover a 48" in tank. Just curious, im setting up a 120 as we speak.

My tank is 60 inches .. a 24" unit will cover A 36 inch long area so 2 will be plenty of coverage ...

Gotcha. I was thinking 48" 120. Which is what I have. Im waiting for the 36" it series to come out. Reefbreeders advised another week or so.

Yea I bet I could a gotten away with it but I wanted to play it safe lol ...yea there is like 3 sizes of 120s lol mines 60L by 18D by 24H your is prob the 48 by 24 by 24 .... then there's the 72 by 18 by 24 which I believe is considered a 125 ... I like our size tanks yours works out great for the 36" unit ...

the 36'' is supposed to cover a 48'' tank? I have a 75 gallon tank, I am interested in seeing if this would cover it
