Anyone ever had any luck with the combo? A small chocolate chip starfish and a BTA?

I know the rap of Chocolate Chips and their reef compatibility, but I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with the two?

Thanks

i had one with a haitian anemone and a sebae anemone. never had a problem. but if you have a reef tank, GOOD LUCK.

Thanks for your input.

Yeah, it will eventually be a reef tank, but the Chocolate Chip will get moved to a FO tank by then, but my wife just had to have him ...

Haven't gotten a BTA yet, but was interested if the two could co-exist. Thanks again.

I still would like to hear other's experiences.

2 CC stars, 2 gigantea carpets, 2 BTA's. No issues so far (about a year now) with the stars on the anemones (or for that matter, the other way around), but, the CC stars are definitely not reef-safe.

just make sure that you feed the the CC stars...i fed mine when ever it came up to the surface on the glass...never did anything to my anenome

Do you have a Sump?

Chocolate Chip Starfish are not good for the reefs....they eat anything and everything. However, your CC Star can be very much appericiated if you put him in the Sump. My dad has one and his CC Star loves it in there. It will even "skim" the water for food. It has been in there for over two months and is just fine. Cleans out all the detritus in the sump.
