Chocolate Chip Starfish eat corals?

I've always heard they did. Have one in my sump that I bought to clean up some "weeds", softies that have taken over on some rocks. I've had a rock in there for a couple of weeks, and it hasn't touched them. I went so far as to place it on the rock a couple of times, it shows no interest.
Do they go after LPS/SPS, not softies?

Nobody will want em. Plain Jane green rhodactis, and common toadstool. Not sarcophyton, but the one very similar.
