Chorisquilla hystrix Husbandry

I found someone with a mantis that they ID'd as being a probable Chorisquilla hystrix that I may be able to get but we were trying to figure out how to feed it seeing as most snails and whatnot would be too big for it seeing as it's only an inch and a half long or so. I was thinking that mysis might be an option and some very small pieces of chopped shrimp but I wasn't exactly sure with this being so small and all.

Many of the smaller mantis species live off very small crustaceans and gastropods.... so the mysids are a good idea. You might also try some of the larger amphipods like gammarus sp.

i get the smallest hermits around, and break their shell for my mantis, which is BARELY an inch, after his last molt, and i also feed him brine.

We feed ours amphipods and adult live brine shrimp. This is a highly secretive species that spends almost all of its time in a burrow. They do not do well in the open.

Hmm, it does look like an interesting species and it would be nice to save it. I suppose it should be given a larger burrow with plenty of rocks for complete shelter then?
