I forgot to post how I ended the night last night....
A well deserved night in my backyard by the bbq that I am also building.

Apple. The tank is 48 x 24 x 20. Leemar. Star fire. Love the tank but didn't like the rimless. I like to move the magnet too fast. I just saw the opportunity to bargain with my wife.... The real christygirl. Told her I could save electricity if I went to just one big tank instead of 2. So 90 and 60 is what I have now..... Going to 180! Everyone is happy. No seriously....... She is happy about this, just ask me.

Wow those are my favorite dimensions lol!
Yeah that was a very nice tank,my dream tank.that has me thinking now,I tend to also move the cleaner mags way too fast lol.
Would you be able to tell me how much the 48x24 cost you?

Well I just got back from Jendubs. I bought the bin. Went and bought 4 gallons of cleaning strength vinegar from Walmart. $2.98 a gallon. Not bad. It is 6% strength vs 5% strength of regular white vinegar. Filling the bin now for a vinegar bath tonight.

Tomorrow I will let it soak. Also, I am running 2 pumps in it for a lot of circulation.

This weekend the fun starts. I have promised to turn over the Red Sea to diabolic. This bin will give my fish plenty of room to swim in.

Tomorrow I will do a water change in both tanks just for the cycled water. I will do that Friday as well and then I will add new water to the mix. When I down the tank I will get another 50 gallons plus the rock.

My tank is supposed to come Friday. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Make sure you have plenty of SW when you plan to put livestock in those bins. When I did my rescape, I put 60g in there and it was only like 4" of water in the bin.

Mike. Thanks. I know. I am going to do water changes today and tomorrow plus add new water and then drain the 60 to it. I hope this will work.

Mike,

I think I am going to go with a ATI Sunpower 8x80 or 10x80.

I just wish they had 3 ballasts so I could ramp at 3 levels of light.

Well, A bit of bad luck. The tank was delayed yet again. LeeMar informed Ali yesterday that there was a bubble in the front pane of glass.

So now, the tank is scheduled for Next Wednesday delivery.

Frustrated? Yes, but, I still have many things to do the stand, so, I am gonna resist the urge to get angry.

Ali is doing a real good job of keeping me informed.

I absolutely recommend him to anyone.

Next post: I am going to show you my stock tank setup that I bought from Jen Dub.

So I bought a Tomato Bin from Jen Dub.

Here it is loaded in the truck:

I got it home and in the back yard for a 24 hour vinegar bath and scrub down.

By the way:
Wallmart sells a cleaning strength White Vinegar (6%) for 2.98 a gallon
They sell regular White Vinegar (5%) for 2.38 a gallon.
This is a way better price then the grocery stores!

After a 24 hour bath, I set the tank up in the house.

I added 30 gallons of fresh water and I did a 5 Gallon water change from the RedSea and a 10 Gallon Water Change from the LeeMar.

1st Night 45 Gallons.

I did the same the next night to total 90 Gallons.

Then, Saturday, I drained the Red Sea into the stock tank for a total of around 50 Gallons.

I put all of the fish, Rocks, inverts, coral (not much in this tank) and sand into the stock tank.

Then I set up all of the equipment.
Skimmer that LesPaulPlayer let me borrow (really good one) Thanks Matt!
JBJ Heater with Control
Tunze ATO
PH Monitor
Powerhead for more flow

I will post a picture of the setup next!

Diabolic Came to get the RedSea saturday.... I was sad to see it go! but, I think Ryan and his Family will enjoy it. It was a pleasure working with him and he was very patient with the first two delays....

Here is the stock tank all setup....

I have a tray inside of it with my sand. This way, I have the live sand if I want it.
