Wrasse junkie
here is a few pics of my pair of cirrhilabrus lunatus. Ive had these fish for a little over 2 weeks and they are doing very well, eating pe mysis. I did have a trio, but lost 1 female. hope you all enjoy. they are young juvis, and I believe the 1 with the yellow patch is a sub male. He is pretty amazing when flashing. they are about 1.5-1.3/4 inches long

drool... I love fish when they are this small. I've a Fathead that is just barely an inch long in my SPS sump with the calupera and I just love watching them at this size.

Very nice pickup. Hopefully the the two that are left will make it through
QT without any other problems. Great looking fish.

Nice Dex...I really like the black dorsal fins on these and have been considering picking some up but not sure yet. I think I'm going to focus on my top 10 first before I get too overloaded with wrasses, haha.

Great looking pair, can't wait to see what they look like when they grow up.

that's a female-male transitioning specimen you've got there.

it won't be long before it becomes a full male.

cirrhilabrus lunatus is very variable in color.

the yellow patch will get bigger and depending on the fish, the amount of black it develops on it's body will vary.

sometimes a little green tinge at the head area too.

heres a pic of the male in the DT. they were getting bullied a little by the male hooded, but i hope it will subside. also my Macropharyngodon meleagris was showing interest in them as well, which i though was odd considering they are from a different genus. Of course they paid them no mind in the acclimation box. I hope all goes well or else ill have to pull them. and I dont want to at all.

As you can see he is really developing the black fins they are known for. I honestly think the fairys such as hooded, lunate and naokoe with black finnage mixed with splashes of color are more amazing than a flame wrasse or labouti, just my opinion. I have 2 male hoodeds and both look diffrent, but are from the same range and collection point, and sold as a pair, but the female developed into a male with neon blue and black finnage. Just a side note.
