cirrhilabrus lunatus

mine were relentless with eachother and other fairies, esp orange or yellow ones. Such as hoodeds. And my hooded is as big if not bigger that both adornatus

Thanks. This is helpful for sure. My current female looks like she's going to be a tad smaller than the new female. Since I have them here now, and they were free, I'll put them in and keep a close eye on them. If they start to bully they will come out.

Whenever I've used mine, it was for at least 2 weeks. There have even been times when it's been so long, I've had to remove it and clean it of algae to the other fish could still see inside, and put the fish back in

Do you leave them in that long when adding more than one? Just curious. We left our 3 Eightline flasher's in the box for a week and they were starting to get cranky and pick on each other on the last day.

Our new Earlei will be here Friday. When he is ready for the DT, we are planning to keep him in the box for a week, but maybe we should think about keeping him in there longer if it would be of benefit.

there is no set time limit. it is at the aquarists descression depending on the interaction with the fish already in the tank. If there are no signs of aggression and not getting "flashed" by other wrasses then it is safe to assume you can release them. ive gone from 1 day to 3 weeks. it all depends on the fish and its environment

On a side note you must have gotten that stud earlei from PIA they posted last week! nice fish indeed if thats the one. either way im sure he'll be a stunner. I cant wait for my c. nahackyni pair to arrive tomorrow. IM hoping all goes well with transport and shipping.

thanks Dex, I normally leave fish in the box for 2-4 days - depending on the reaction of my other fish. I waited longer with the Eightlines because our teenage Lineatus turned into demon spawn at the sight of them and it took him about 4 days to settle down. I kept them in the box for an additional 3 days and everything was fine when I released them.

As for the Earlei, yes, it is the awesome male from PIA. He will be here on Friday. We're a bit nervous, but very excited and feel like kids waiting for Christmas, LOL.

Good Luck with your C nahackyni pair... they are gorgeous fish!

i have this fish myself, wasnt sure what it was, but the tail was the seller for me, ive had a few species over the years and had never seen one like this and the price was really right so i snagged him. now upon research looks like i got a reallyyyyy good deal
