Citrinus Goby color very dull

So I got my Citrinus goby about 7 weeks ago. Then it's color was very dull more like brownish side rather than the bright yellow otherwise. I was hoping it's color will improve upon feeding. Well it's the same till now. I am feeding various foods including NSL flakes, mysis, hikari, seaweed etc. Sometimes soaked in selcon, even cyclopeeze. Nothing seems to help. It is otherwise healthy and active. Just dull in color :(

Any pics? You might have a brown clown goby. They're often misidentified as Citrinus gobies, and they're closely related, but they're just dull. Or you could possibly have a dull Citrinus, colors can vary greatly among them.

This, i have a pair of Citron clowns andone is the Usual bright yellow while the other is more brownish yellow, its a very noticeable difference too.

Mine ranges from a yellow to a brown depending on his mood.

I am glad yours is eating... I couldn't get mine to eat anything: frozen spirulina brine shrimp, frozen mysis, krill, formula 2 flakes, formula 1 pellets, Fauna Marin Pellets (yeah, I know those are for coral but I was desperate). I finally thought to try frozen blood worms (soaked in Selcon) and he has been at least eating those. He is so skinny though... I hope he pulls through.

So here is a blurry pic of the guy. I don't think it's a brown goby, just dull.

If you get him eating and he won't color up, you just have a dull colored goby.
Feed him multiple times a day and mix mysis into the bloodworms. Also, try Cyclop-eeze.

No bloodworms for me :( but I do feed mysis + Cyclop-eeze time to time. Will just have to up it a bit I guess.
