As some of you know I recently aquired a really nice 150gl with everything! WHich I inturn sold what I wouldn't use and the whole upgrade has pretty much been free! which the wife likes. I promised I would start a build thread so here it is. I suck at loading pics but I will get some up. So far we moved the set up from it's previous owners place to my office where I cleaned it and cut a sump access in one end. Today we moved it to the house and set it in place. I cut, sanded, and stained a door for the end of the stand. I will be drilling the sump next week and starting the plumbing. I still need to wire the t5 retros into the canopy and then comes the fun part of aquascaping. I will get some pics up soon, but this build is going to go very slow, since I have no reason for tearing down the old tank any time soon. I'll keep everyone posted.

little update. Been crazy with two jobs and such so only a little progress, but I drilled the sump this week and will start the plumbing hopefully this weekend. Moving slow, but i've learned that lesson before! lol I got my new lap top in this week and hopefully will get some pics up soon.

Well life happens, but I've finally got water in the tank! It is FW but the leak test has been perfect so far. I plan on draining tomorrow, and start mixing SW. Only thing left is to wire up the ballasts and make up some doors so the kids can't get behind the tank. Then comes the fun part Aquascaping! Sorry, again I just suck at taking and posting pics.

I have the rock work pretty much finished and sand going in tonight. all but one ballast wired cause it's still on the old tank. everything working out well so far. once I get the sand in hopefully I'll post some pics this next weekend so the dust can settle. I'm going to p/u some acrilic or plexi glass to make a skimmer stand out of today. Getting close!

wow you dug that up! lol I'm not so good about build threads, but Ill try to take some pics. Ive been fighting HA for a while so please ignore it. probably be a couple of days due to family in town this weekend.
