Clam was fine last night, this morning shrunken up thought is was a goner. When I picked it up there were 2 bristle worms underneath it. Got rid of the worms put it back figure I would deal with it later. 20 mins ago same thing no life, took it out of the water and notice a bristle worm inside the calm. I tried to tweezers it out and couldn't get it. I put clam in a small Tupperware bowl and keeping temperature stable. The clam opens up like nothing every happened but the bristle worm is inside. What do I do?

Thanks

Keith

Wait and hope the worm comes out, put the clam back in your tank. Bristle worms are scavengers, so the clam may be in trouble.
It also maybe that it just tried to hide and found the clam a good spot.
I've had a crab and a shrimp in 2 clams I had but they were living in the clams. A bristle worm won't have that kind of relationship with a clam and could do some damage but may likely get out if given the chance.
