Clam Mystery

So this morning I wake up to a fibrous mass of tissue in my tank that looks like a clam's foot. Here is a picture:

The clam looked like it was suffering from "pinching", so I decided to do a FW dip. I took a couple of shots of the underside of the clam:

Here is a blurry shot of the clam from above, as you can see he is obviously pinched:

What do you guys think? Anyone ever have a clam recover from something like this? Any ideas of what I can do to help it heal?

Put a shell underneath to keep out any burrowing critters. Other than that, not much you can do but keep the water quality high.

if the clam dropped his foot on his own he should recover but i think you may have misdiagnosed your clams problem. a FWD only works for PM and the last pic doesn't show the symptoms of PM.

do you have a pic from before the dip??

can you post a clearer pic of the clam now?? ( from above )
