Ditto to Paul, Unless you are running a 6" deep cup I'm sure it would be no different than your sand bed... In the event you run a deep one, it would act as a NNR.

Here is a pic of Eric's product. Very happy with it. My GF loves the clam being out of the sand. The dragon goby kept buring it in the sand. Thanks Eric. If you can make enough of this batch maybe some bigger diameter ones next time would be cool.

Already in the works... Figure the 2" dia will work for smaller clams (up to 3 or 4") but I'll get some 3" dia and 4" dia ones done soon but of course the cost/price will be a little higher...

Acrylic is ordered, I will have lots more 2" as well as 3" and 4"...

I'm going to take a stab at a nano version of a dual chamber calcium reactor so if anyone is interested let me know...

BTW your frags are looking great already, most still had great color you just couldn't see it too well.

Eric, I saw all the stands for sale down at Scotts, He has all 6 stands full of bright bluse croceas, it looks so much better that just putting them in the sand, especially for a retailer it looks awesome.

That reminds me, if someone needs anything larger than 2x2 I have 3" and 4" dia now available but I make those to order... Just let me know if you need one.

The 3" is $3.75 and the 4" is $5.00 for a 2" stand; each additional inch in height is $1.25 and $1.50 respectively.

what about smaller....i think i need a 1.5" tall i want to have it just barely stick out of the sand so that it keeps the clam from sticking to the bottom but its not all the way visible.
