I have had this clam for about 18 months and seems to be growing well and doing fine. The mantle is very open every day. I just don't know what the film is on the shell of the clam. There are several what apear to be mouths in this film similar to the mouth or spout the clam has. Can anybody clue me in and let me know if this is healthy or not? The film is probably about 1/8" thick.
