I recently switched from a 150 watt 10k halide to 4 24" T5s with ice cap reflectors and overdriven by an ice cap ballast. After the switch my clams have all started to slowly wither, bleach and die. I had 1 3" crocea, 2 2" ORA maximas, and a 6" derasa. The only one left is the derasa, and it seemed like it was doing fine until Sunday. Now the mantle is retracted in, it appears to be gaping a bit and the sections that used to be dark brown are white.
On Sunday I checked my water params, they were SG1.026, Alk 4.0 meq/l, Calcium 450, Mag 1400, and nitrate and phosphate 0. I did a 10% water change and am running 1 cup of fresh carbon.
All of the SPS are doing fine, none of them bleached or showed any adverse effect from the light change. I checked the clams and none had any pyramidellid snails.
Not sure what has happened... Any help would be appreciated.
