Hello everyone
I have a 125 that i want to put a pair of perc's in. The tank aready has a pair of clarkii's that are f-5 1/2" m-4" the female perc is 2" and the male is 1 1/2". the female clarkii keeps her own against the blue hippo and yellow tangs :worried2:. has anyone got away with something like this? anything i can do to help it work?
thanks in advance

yeah with the size of thier mouth it would take 1 bite and i dont think she would do it to eat them but to just kill them.

thanks everyone i knew it wasnt a good idea but i dont have any other choices im taking my other tank down and the perc's were my first fish.

I wouldn't do it. As I mentioned on another thread, my juvenile Clark's pair killed a rabbitfish that was bigger than both of them. They are very aggressive, territorial fish and I don't think they would tolerate another clownfish species/pair living with them.

As with everyone else I wouldn't do it myself. I am sure you would prefer to see them go to a new home than killed.

If you insist on doing it then put the percs in a see through cage. Let the Clarkii's see them and hopefully get used to them before they get to take a chunk out of them. I use gutter guard and lots of cable ties if I need to section off fish. I build a small door in the cage which I can open and close as required. This process is likely to take weeks, it is not a quick fix and it may not work. My first advice is still not to do it - choose one pair and stick with them.
