Clayw's 39g Pro Cadlight

So I set up the 39g and am turning my old 22g, which you may or may not have seen the thread for, into a QT tank. I wanted to go bigger, keep a few more fish, and focus more on an SPS tank.
I set everything up tonight, almost completely finished. All I need to finish is the plumbing for the return and I'll be up and running.

Here's a little info about the tank before I post pictures.
-39g rimless bowfront (one piece of curved class)
-8MM glass
-12g acrylic sump
-Bubble Magus Nac 3+
-Cadlight 150w HQI MH w/2x24w T5HO actinics w/2x2w LED moonlights
-1000gph stock return pump
-1 Koralia 2...will upgrade to mp10 and plan on getting a RKL

I went with 3 rock formation. Adam from the Mystic Reef and I worked on this, it looks odd in the pictures, and Im not photographer so the pictures dont do it justice. We planned this rockscape with the future grow-in in mind. On the left of the tank I have a stair step formation, acrylic rod and a good drill make it easy. In the front center I have one large tall rock, I've drilled placement holes into this (5 or 6) for frag plugs, and on the right I have 2 rocks epoxied together to make an interested formation with a cave on the bottom and a hole through the middle.
We wanted to make a channel so to speak, and with the three formations I ended up with 2 channels running into each other at the overflow. I look the way this looks alot, Kind of have to see it person to see that it looks good. I guess once it grows in you'll be able to see the different depths a little better. Top down view looks really cool.

about 25-30lbs of live rock and 30lbs of carribsea oolite sand have been added.

My stocking plans for this tank:
RBTA from the 22g w/occelaris misbar
yasha goby w/pistol shrimp
2 small anthias
Midas Blenny
Flasher wrasse (maybe)
and a mystery fish I'm not going to tell you about yet...

This thread will have frequent updates, i added a lot of pictures of building the stand incase anyone else has one of these and has questions about assembly. Have at it, and hopefully we make this an interesting thread...

Thank you, I'm chomping at the bit to get it stocked to, but I'll wait for the full cycle to finish. probably pick up a couple fish for the QT soon though. The anenome will be the first thing in the tank. So it can find a home it likes.

wow that is one awesome looking tank. that sump system looks amazing. i cant believe all that comes with a nano package, so different from any other tanks.

i have the Signature for 2 years now and its doing great still.

Thanks snowriderz, the signature is a great system to, I almost set that up but I decided I wanted a system with more water volume, the sump just gives you a little more room to play. Any pictures of your tank?

Nice, I think the rock work will turn out cool. I'm a big fan of mounting corals where the grow horizontally. You can even get some mag rocks to have some on you back wall.

Dyer, first thank you! Thats what I was going for with the grow out. but at the center of the top rock I want to add a tabling acro, not sure which yet, i havent really got into SPS to heavily so I'll need some advice on those. But as for the rock on the overflow, it is something I've considered I'll put up a picture of another tank i did where we used a band saw and a grinder to cut the rock so it custom fit the overflow to hide it, definitly a cool way to rockscape.

Might be getting a 50g from you later in the year. Wife wants some lion fish and I'm deciding between the cads 50g or a marineland 60g.

that sounds cool yammy, but unless you get dwarf lionfish, anything else will quickly outgrow both of those systems. dwarfs would be ok, but theyre not reef safe, something to think about.
Whatd you mean about my arm? you want to see a full pic of it? lol i have to take pictures with my right arm cause the button is on the right, thats why you never see that one.

Yeah, I've done some research and dwarfs will be what I get. It will be a FOWLR tank.

Looks like you have at least a half sleeve on your left, whats the right look like?

My left is a full sleeve, Ill get a picture and put it up later. Nothing on my right arm. I have a huge rib piece, hip to back of my should and ribs, my left thigh is done, and tomorrow I have an appointment to get my chest piece. My sleeve is Matthew 7:24. Its a japanese sleeve but tell that story of that passage. my ribs is a huge ship, that will connect to my chest.
