Clayw's 39g Pro Cadlight

I went away over the weekend and stayed out at the beach. I did a little free diving and tried to do some spearfishing but I never really came across anything worth taking back and eating. Before I left I wasnt seeing much of my fish. The pistol shrimp could be seen on Thursday evening and a little on Friday digging burrows, it seems to like the final rock structure it had found which it was hanging out under. Yesterday though I came home to find my Yasha was also under the same rock structure. I never saw the shrimp and the fish together and still havent, but they are living in the same burrows so thats good! As for the wrasse...he was still camped out in the center rock. One of the holes I drilled broke into a hollow cavity which was also open on another area outside of the rock. Kind of a bummer it wasnt out swimming about yet. At least I could see it in the hole and knew it was still alive. Today I tried using a turkey baster to coax them out of hiding since I couldnt get them eat last week. They must have been hungry because the wrasse came right out of hiding for some mysis swam around a bit and then went back in the hole. Progress! and the yasha was out of its burrow snatching up pieces that would float by. Everythings going pretty well.

Got my controller! Althought the Neptune controllers are a little nicer I opted for the Digital Aquatics basic model: Reef Keeper Lite.

It comes with one PC4 power strip, temp probe, and rkl module. I bought a second PC4 power strip because I have more than 4 cords and would like to get everything programmed if possible.

Im about to install the controller, I was wondering where y'all thought I should put it. Inside the stand? or outside the stand on the side?

I've been taking a few pictures tonight, although I wish I were better with the camera I'm using they're decent. Im not sure if you guys remember, but a few pages back I posted pictures of our dogs which had they're first litter, well I've got some updated photos of the pups and also pictures of my fish and equipment.

Reef Keeper Lite and PC4's all hooked up and programmed. I still need to zip-tie the wires and get them out of the way. but its all programmed and on point for the most part.

I'll try and get a better picture soon of my wrasse. This morning when it came out for feeding it never went back into hiding completely, he's been swimming around the tank through out the day. I think it tried to eat a bristle worm because it had stickers in its mouth area earlier.

Another cool thing I noticed today is that my Yasha Shrimp Goby and Candy Pistol Shrimp have paired up. The wrasse took over one of their burrows so they moved to one on the front side of the left rock structure instead of the usual right side of it, and when I say the Yasha the pistol came out of the rock above it. It almost looked like it was cleaning the fish, I dont know if they do this. This picture is sort of blurry it was hard to get the camera to focus on both fish and shrimp but you can sort of see the fish with its mouth open and the shrimp was picking at it with a claw, it did the same thing for the fishes fins.

I was curious as to what you guys think about my light cycle. Currently I have the actinics programmed to come at at 11 am and keep running, then the halide comes on at 1pm and shuts down at 7pm, the actinics stay on still untill 9pm before shutting down and then the LED moonlights go on from 9pm through 11am.

11am - actincs
1pm - halide + actincs
7pm - halide shuts down + actincs continue
9pm - actincs shut down
9pm through 11am - LED moonlights.

I would like to program the actincs to come on at 11am shut off at 2pm, then power back on 6pm and shut down at 9pm. I want to run only the halide for a period of the time, but I havent yet figured out how to do so on the controller. I need to play with it some more. Some one chime in if you know how to do this on a RKL. Thanks!
