clean outside glass

What do you all use to clean the outside glass? I tried a tiny bit of white vinegar on a rag and it seemed to work really well. just wondering what everyone else does. I tried searching but all I found was how people clean the inside of the glass.

I usually just use paper towels or a cloth. Maybe a little bit of water too.

Just don't use a spray, and best not even to use a spray in the same room as the tank. Just spritz the wiping cloth with whatever you like, even Windex, and clean away: just don't let any liquid roll down to drip into your sump. Salt is tricky to get off, and you may find a water-wet paper towel followed by a dry paper towel can help.

I spray the vinegar windex... usually spray it in a different room onto a rag the wipe

Usually I use Windex sprayed on a paper towel in another room, but on occasion I need to use a white vinegar/RO/DI water mix, wipe down the tank and then buff it out with a soft cloth (I actually use a ShamWow!).

Good tips on not spraying things in the room with the tank i'll have to talk to the wife about that. Also, thanks for all the ideas. i'll keep them in mind.

Just use RO/DI water in a spray bottle and a shower squeege. Done.

I just use water with newspaper since it leaves no streaks, or just use a microfiber cloth with water.

I use windex, and honestly I spray it directly (lightly) on the glass. Have for years with no ill effects. I do have canopy on tank, so not sure that makes a difference, but my previous tank was open, and I never had an issues with it either.
