so ive had watchman gobies for a few years now but am sick of the sand storm every now and then and am looking to replace him. So what is everyone using to keep there sand clean.

I like my Nassarius Snails. They're pretty cool. They live in the sand bed, cleaning and mining until food enters the water column and then they come out to see what's happening.

depends what you're trying to clean up

depends what you're trying to clean up

bristleworms are probably the best choice

those cukes that look like turds are also a good choice- TRS has one in their 180 display

I never use Nassarius and I couldn't recommend them. There should be no food for these guys in a reef aquarium. The last thing you want to do (IMO) is have to feed your CUC because it defeats the purpose.

I stopped buying snails because all I end up with is empty shells within a couple of weeks. Thought it was hermits doing the damage, but I don't have anymore of those either. I think most people are trying to keep very thin layers of sand or none at all. I do like the look of sand, but am slowly thinning mine out to keep the phosphates more manageable.

yeah i really want to keep the sand becouse it lookds nice but im just sick of watchman gobies and empty snail and crab shells lol i just want nice clean sand
