Cleaner schrimp is eating my clam

I have new, about 2 inch long tridacna clam. First, cleaner shrimp was attacking foot, later, when i was burried tridacna in sand, shrimp was attackihg from above. In the place where is long opening now is a big hole.

Does anybody know, can clam survive?

The clam can survive, I have seen damaged clams make it. At that size he will have to have a supplement like DT. Also I had a similar incident with a cleaner, I started feeding brine shrimp regularly and he stopped. Good luck

Thank you. I'll make some kind of cage to protect clam from schrimp. Clam has beatifull green gray colors.

what kind of iodine supplement do you use? I am wanting to say I read somewhere that they can help the clams fight off infection. Don't take that as gospel though. Can anyone else give input here I don't want to just be making stuff up.

Well, clam is dying. Also found dead one cleaner scrimp on Tunze pump..
