Cleaner shrimp having babies??

Ok,
As I was studying for midterms, I looked up and saw a cloud of white specs being blown around my tank. Upon further inspection I think they were baby cleaner shrimp. Could it really be???
My fish were going crazy and eating frantically as if they were starved. I think most of whatever it was got sucked into my overflows, but i had never experienced such a thing.
Does anyone know that this can happen? Have you had it happen? Please dish!!!!
 
It is possible, but the chance of any of shrimp surviving past the planktonic stage is very unlikely considering lack of planktonic food, being killed by pumps/powerheads, and being consumed by other animals in the tank.

On the other hand, they might just be mysis shrimp.
