I haven't kept a cleaner shrimp in my sps reef in years. Maybe decades.
I do recal perhaps they would steal food from the corals..
I'm thinking about putting one back in my tank but I don't see too many sps junkies with cleaner shrimp..
Is it a bad idea?
Thoughts?

I keep a couple Fire Cleaners in my tank. The only thing I'd be concerned about is if I had a sps pest and needed to treat as I would likely need to remove the shrimp first. They haven't caused me any concern with my sps or zoas.
I haven't had a shrimp for a long time until 6 months ago I bought home a blood shrimp to get some red in my sps tank but man this shrimp is a wild one. His out all the time running over my sps like nothing is there, stealing food from my RBTA so back to the lfs he goes. A month ago I bought another shrimp this time a skunk cleaner shrimp hoping it'll clean up the food my clownfish left over. After 2 days of coolness he goes banana like the previous blood shrimp and plus this dude goes after the fishes at feeding time trying chase the fishes away from the food, now his in the sump until I figure out how to deal with him.
It's a disaster for me no more shrimp except eating it.
Thanks for the responses, everyone..
Yep.. still undecided.. I seem to recall having a similar experience to you, Tim.
Maybe it depends on the availability of food.. if the shrimp is well fed, it's probably more calm.
