Cleaner Shrimp Lost Tentacles

I just came home tonight and noticed my cleaner shrimp lost all it's tentacles, just has two short ones now. They used to be really long before (had 4 I think?).

Is this normal or is he in trouble. The past day or two I haven't done anything except a water change. I'll test the water tonight again. Otherwise he was doing really well before. Had him for about a month and half now.

Did it just shed? I've seen them with shedding problems not be able to remove the whole shed and then they lose parts. By the way, if it is a Lysamata sp of cleaner it should have 3prs of antenna, or 6 total.

Could also be another animal that is attacking them, I have just recently tried to pr up a Stenopus pyrsonotus. They were collected as a pr but shipped from HI to my house in seperate bags. When I tried to reintroduce them they fought and the female lost one of her claws and all of her antennas.

Either way, as long as it is healthy the next time it sheds if all is well it will regrow them and be as nice as when you bought it.

my cleaner either gets his stuck in a koralia (most likely case) or is getting them nipped by a fish but after it molts they usually are back to full size.

sounds good thanks guys. So far he's still alive, although seems a little less active. I'll keep an eye on him. Hard to find him now without the long tentacles. Not sure of the exact type. Just said cleaner shrimp at the store. Just like the one in Nemo. :-)
