Cleaner shrimp picking at Acan heads

Hello all,

It seems my skunk cleaner likes to pick at my newish Acan frags. These have not just been fed or anything. Lights are down and he is up picking at some of the incomplete heads (split during fragging) that are otherwise healthy (ate mysis previous day).
Should I worry about this?

probably going after unhealthy tissue on the edge. Is it going after any other parts of these corals or any other corals?

We have 2 skunk cleaners in our 280 and they are thugs. Usually it is after feeding that they are trying to steal food but I have seen them harassing LPS at other times too. I have not noticed any ill effects so far though.

It may be just cleaning up tissue on the incomplete heads. I've also seen shrimp plunder the gut sacs of acan polyps. They shove their claw in through the mouth and pull food out.

My peppermint shrimp did that to my acan. It closed up and didn't really open for about 3 days. Needless to say, when I saw the peppermint digging at it, the shrimp got relocated to my other tank that doesn't have acans.

I removed my cleaner shrimp and banned him to the sump until I have a chance to take him back to the LFS. He destroyed my acan. The shrimp would wait until I was out of the tank and even after the food was swallowed then go for the mouth and steal all the food that was in the acan's stomach, damaging the coral in the process. I would remove it.

Yep, had a peppy rip the guts out of an acan. My redline irritates my acros as well. Peppies to the sump and redlines are getting sold.

If hes just p clicking at the half heads, he might be cleaning them. Id be careful though, watch while feeding. I had one who would reach down corals throats for food.
