Cleaning Marine Pure?

I just bought a used aquarium and it came with LOTS of marine pure cubes, the thing is they are dry, dirty and covered in dead algae. With this being said, can I clean them, and if so how?

Try 1 in a bleach solution to check.
If it works I would soak in a dechlorinator after cleaning.

I would simply vinegar clean it then dip in a peroxide mix to ensure any living algae spores are killed off...

Soak them in Rodi water for couple of days
