I saw on another forum that one of there sponsors has said there is a batch of legal Clipperton Angelfish being collected. Does anybody know anything about this?

what board was it and sponsor for the clip angelfish? Also I noticed you have some rare fish on your profile. Amazing fish. I didnt know a personatuts was in Canada.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post other forum links on here so ill pm it to you. I wished I owned those fish but I don't, they are just some of my favourite fish.

I heard rumblings about this awhile ago but nothing concrete. I guess it's really going to happen. Can you on PM me the seller and price info please?
 
lol...it looks like they'll be priced similarly. I'm feeling conflicted if I think the clip is worth that much...
 
lots of talk...I put a deposit down last april and finally asked for it back in aug...nothing ever materialized... he still says they are going to collect them and some still have deposits down...however, the price has now tripled...
 
So continuing the rumors, I heard that Personatus should be available too. Personally, I'd love to see a Debelius or c. Lanceolatus in my tank. Is that asking too much?

I wonder how many sw fish super-freak collectors are out there in the world. More than a dozen? I would imagine that there aren't too many and that the supply will reach a saturation point. Just wondering where that is.
 
I would imagine there is quite a bit. As from what I have heard from one of my clients in Asia, there are a number of guys who purchase rare fish from them and thats it, you dont see posts online, nothing mentioned on forums, no pictures upload, they do it just for the joy of having rare fish.

I think that after time the guys who collect these exotic fish will see that the market cannot handle anymore and I think that the price will drop but I think that will only happen in a long time. Alot of the new rare fish have only been collected for a short period of time, I think once more information is published on these guys, the other rare fish collectors will dish out. As we have seen with the Peps and Narcs, the survival rate has not been that great.

Just looked up clipperton and I don't think it's that great!

I would say well over 100. There is and has been a peppermint angel in captive care in NY for close to 10 years now, and no publicity on it or the owner/hobbyist. That was the only rare fish he had at the time and I'm sure others have joind his home since then.
