Stop posting...? I don't think there is a way to remove an account.

Its free, why would someone want to delete an account?

The only way to permanently close your accound is to run amuck and get yourself banned. If you have for some reason decided that you don't like it here just quit posting.

i dont want to use this anymore but i dnt wnt to be banned id like to use this as a search engine so can a mod remove me?

If you want your account closed is what I was referring to. The mods won't just close your account because you ask them to, typically. If you are having some sort of issue with members here maybe take a day or two and simmer down??? I don't know what brought this thread about but all I am saying is that if you don't want to have an active account anymore the only two options are to quit posting or get banned.

Aaron most likely your i.p. addy will not be allowed to re-register...I think.

Just chill man..gonna pm ya.

Not typically, maybe for a day or two, but if you are suspected of creating a second user name that too will be banned. They are pretty darned good at weeding them out.

I don't know the back story here, but Reefcentral is an immense forum, if you are having problems on the URS board or any other board for that matter simply hang out in a different area. If you plan on staying in the hobby it is an amazing resource, as you have apparently found out. Which is also why I say, if you are having issues or people are having issues with you just quit posting or hang out elsewhere, then you can still read and aren't trying to skirt rules with a second user name or having a wife/girlfriend/roomate sign up. Then the resource is still available to you to search read post or whatever you desire

As I said, I don't know what the back story is on this thread.

I'm not sure why you would want to have your account removed, but if you have issues (with another member, or otherwise), PM a moderator. This doesn't sound like something that needs to be discussed publicly.
