Closed Loop Pump Suggestions. Under 2000GPH and quiet!

What would you suggest / recommend for a closed loop pump that's above 1000GPH but under 2000GPH?

It would be connected to either an OM Super Squirt or OM 4-Way.

I really wanted to try out the Eheim pumps, but they don't have anything over 1000GPH. =(

panworlds aren't that quiet. =/ They're pretty good though.

how about the Sequence ReeFlo Tarpon UNO?

I know the Sequence DART is by far the quietest darn pump I've ever heard, if this is just a smaller version (meaning the tarpon) then I'd definatley go for that.

oooh yeah! I forgot about those. I heard they're one of the quietest pumps, though it runs pretty hot... do you have experience with the pump?

No, but I just keep hearing how super quiet they are. You're right about the heat issue though.

Sequence Snapper ("the quietest pump on the market") is 2000 @ 3' of head pressure. I don't know if you're going to get 3' with a CL, but you could put a GV and dial it back a tiny bit. I was going to go with the T4 because they are supposed to be silent, but heat transfer concerns propelled me to Sequence.

As far as the Uno series is concerned, those are pressure pumps and you'll be paying a premium for that feature (about $100 more for less flow).

Hmm, with a CL there will only be some plumbing loss. that'll be some insane flow. Oh well, 70x turnover should be fun ;)

I'll look into the snapper, thanks!

I have used a T4 and a T3, they are great pumps and super quiet. I can confirm the added heat load however. I replaced a T3 with a Mag 9.5, which is submerged, and my tank cooled. Go figure. I have the T3 on a 24 now and with that much volume, the heatload is minimal.

Should Read:

Oops

I third the velocity/posideon pumps. They are silent, but hot running as already stated. GRI also makes relatively quiet pumps in that flow range, but they aren't cheap... I should know I have a brand new GRI520 sitting in my closet that I need to get rid of :)
