2 weeks ago i upgraded my tank I am now using a fine sand. The water is somewhat cloudy still and has been about the same for over a week with what look like the sand still in the water unsettled. How long will the take to clear or any advise I only a pair of clowns and a few snails in the tank.

Bacterial bloom?

As long as your parameters are not all over the map, somewhat stable, just leave it alone for awhile. It will balance itself out. I don't think it would take this long for the dust to settle.

I would run a small layer of medium argonite over the fine sand and encapsulate it--other wise everytime a fish or invert digs in it you are going to have a sand storm
If you keep good flow in the tank and run a micron filter sock over the drain line it will help clear up the mess faster.

Don't overdo it. Most of that sand will settle and, as it acquires a bacterial film, it will all settle in place. Just give it some time.
