Clowfish disease?

we just bought a pair of clowns at our LFS. the LFS had received them about a week prior to us taking them home. they seemed great and happy while in their tank and appeared to be fine when we put them in ours. we have a 34 RedSea Max.

after they had been in for about 24 hrs, we noticed a spot on the white mid-section portion of our ocelaris smaller clown's right side. orginally it looked like a small shrimp was attached, but now it just looks like the white is discoloring to orange. there is now another spot on his left side and it's doing the same thing. he does have some mucus looking substance on him, but it's not horrible. has anyone ever had this problem before and what should i do?

he is eating fine. the first night he was in the tank he was hosting our green-star polup, he's no longer doing that. also, our chromis is very agreesive towards him... could it just be stress???

any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

brook? sorry my boyfriend normally tends to the tank, but he's gone. i know very little about this stuff.

is that brook disease?

i just talked to 2 different LFS'... one said my chromis could be the problem. the chromis was the first fish we put in the tank and he is just a bit larger than the small clown. is it possible that he is just stressing my clown out? could the chromis nip at him and make the marks on his side? the LFS told me to get the chromis out, becuase he is only going to create worse problems later.

the second LFS said my clown may have clowns disease or velvet. would that explain the discoloration on his sides? i'm

i'm stressing about this... any help would be much appreciated!

unfortunately he just died! it was so sad. luckily i was able to get him out of my main tank about an hour before. i took a couple pictures with my cell phone, i'll post them in a few. i hate to admit this but i put him in my fridge so i can take him to my LSF tomorrow morning.

I'm guessing stress, chromis biting him, or brook (aka clownfish disease/ clown ich). If your other clown dies, probably clownfish disease. If it gets chewed on, it was the chromis.
