clown beatin up tusk

my clarkii clown is beatin up on my tusk pretty bad and i fear he will kill him and he is poisonous so if he dies he will kill everything. the anemone i had in there died a long time ago but he loved it. if i get another one do you think he will leave the tusk alone.

any helpful ideas would be great thx!

im guessing this is a Fowlr tank

pretty much all your fish exept the clarkii will get way to big for that aqarium.

also anemones need perfect water quality they are just as hard to keep as sps corals they also need tons of light

or maybe the rocks are new. i had rocks in my tank well before i had my fish and coral. i still had purple on my rocks(JMO).

those pics are old i have coraline and new rocks that was when i first set up tank, and i do have the lighting for an anemone now. my old anemone didn't get the right lighting.

my tank use to be fresh until a yr ago. i still had the old lighting at first but have upgraded to mh.

i also have alot more live rock!

Reef Central is a family friendly bill board, keep the dialogue at that level.

A mature Clark's Clown, female, will attempt to clear predators from her designated nesting area. Tusk's meet that designation and if she decides it is dangerous, she is unlikely to change her mind, adding an anemone will likely cement the concept in her mind and give her more reason to defend the space.

A number of my mature female clowns have claimed an entire 288gal tank as territory; a couple were Clarkii complex, i.e. A. clarkii and A. chrysopterus. Tusks, Crosshatch Triggers, Eels, etc. were all kept in check if not beaten on by the clown.

Clownfish hosting anemone would not live in that tank. Too many large fish and likely too high nitrates.
I would either remove the clown or the tusk (or else may the strongest fish survive)
Harlequin Tusk is not poisonous fish and will not release poison when he die (if you remove hos body). He may kill a 55 g tank if his body decompose in there.
