Clown egg question

When aerating a clownfish nest, should the bubbles actually touch the eggs or just pass close by them to make a slight current?

never had any experience myself, but i would guess that they should just create a gentle current near the eggs.

They can touch. Don't have them so high that they are pushing through the eggs. Just so you get good movement on the eggs.

Thanks. I had 2 hatch last night, so hopefully the rest will hatch tonight. The babies seem to be eating rotifers, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that they survive!

OK...every egg has hatched and I have around 25 fry. The problem is that most of them are keeping their noses against the glass! The ones swimming around have silver bellies. I have them in a round glass 2 gallon container and the sides are covered with black paper. I have a small light above the tank. How do I get them to get off of the sides?

If the Light is too strong, clown fry will try to swim away from it...Try moving the light up a little more and see if that does the trick

I don't think I can get a pic yet as they are TINY! I had to make the water quite green, but they finally started to swim around. They are all hunting and have full silver bellies!

Any pics of mom and dad?

Awesome. It sounds like you are on your way. I tint mine quite dark. Do you have an ammonia badge in the tank?

No, I don't have an ammonia badge. I did a water change to day and will do one every day until I get an ammonia monitor.

Here are some pics of the parents...

Awesome! I love to see fish being bred and raised in captivity. Just makes me feel all good inside. (im wierd) :) lol
Anyone else?

Keep up the good work!

Looking good. Nice pictures. Definately get a badge. They take out the guesswork. Make sure you are checking the ph of the water change water as well as the salinity / temperature. They are sensitive at this age. (And of course change it slowly)
