Well, once they hatch they will almost immediately be sucked down the plumbing to the sump. That violent process might kill them right there, not sure. Once in the sump, they might be sucked into the protein skimmer. Outch! If not, they will end up in a tangle of Chaeto where some worms or pods will surely eat them. It would be a pretty long shot for the larvae to survive.
In the wild, they swim to shallow water that is filled with tiny zooplankton that they can eat. Even so, at best one or two from each clutch survive. Why do you think they make 200 eggs a month? : )
