Alright So I have been slowly moving BTA's into my 55g while I wait for someone to buy a Haddoni anemone off of me. I placed a small GBTA (one inch when shrunk) It detached and the clownfish grabbed it, drug it over to the Haddoni, and dropped it in its dam mouth.

The haddoni proceeded to close up and eat the nem, it was to late to even attempt a rescue, well that and I was standing there in complete awe.....

That is one thing I never thought would happen in any given circumstance.

Wife had my camera or I would have videoed it.... I was seriously awe struck.... I have heard of nems having warfare, but never of them consuming eachother, especially with the assistance of a clownfish, lol.

Hope at least the Haddoni enjoyed it since that an expensive snack. LOL. How did your clown move it? Did it pick it up by the tentacles?

The nem had shrunk up a bit and detached, it was a small nem the clown just grabbed it by the foot while it was floating and took it straight to the haddoni. This haddoni has eaten around $70 dollars worth of livestock in under two months, Im finding him a new home by tommorow, either the LFS or a local reefer.

Toss a couple of feeder guppies in your tank and let me know what you see :) Your clowns will probably take them right into the haddoni.

That's just crazy.

All of the clowns that I have ever owned that associated with an anemone would only steal its food, not take stuff to it. What type of clowns do you own?

Did this a few weeks ago.... clown fed 3 to the haddoni before I stopped feeding them (They were meant for the puffer, which btw the haddoni ate a few days after the guppies)
