clown fish and tang

Yesterday i introduced a small maroon clown to my tank. The only other fish i have in the tank is a yellow tang right now. I noticed at first the two fish seemed to be ok with each other but last night i noticed that the tang was chasing the clown around whenever the clown came near the area where the tang sleeps. Are these two fish ok in thie tank together? Is this just the tangs way of marking his territory?

marking his territory, tangs and angels and other aggressive fish are usually added last to the tank..........you could if possible move around the live rock and confuse the tang but things should settle down.........

I have 2 clowns with a yellow tang in my tank. The tang and clowns get along fine.

The trick is to put the tang in last. If you have a QT tank keep the tang in it for about a week, then put him back into the main tank

If its in your 46...the aggression will continue, that tank is too small for any Tang
