Clown Fish Behavior

Have anyone ever had a problems with Clown Fish hiding? I bought a pair on Firday afternoon and they have come out of the rocks for a short period of time. They are ocellaris clowns, look really healthy. I have checked Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite and they are all 0. My ph is running 8.0 to 8.2, salinity is 1.022. I also bought 4 snails on Friday and they are doing great. Do you have any ideas on why they might be hiding. I have never had clown fish hide like this in the past.

What is your flow like in the tank? Clowns do not like turbulent flows and will pick an area where there is the least turbulence. Also, they are still fairly new to your tank, they may need additional time to explore and feel comfortable in their new surroundings. Be patient, give it some time. Are they at least eating for you? Also, when I get clowns I do a 50 minute Formalin dip to kill off Brook and other external parasites that clowns sometime carry.

They have ate a little bit, they are interested in the food but wont just attack it. I saw one of them swimming around last night after the lights went out. I turned the kitchen light on so I could not tell where the other one was.
