Clown fish. Bite or something else

Upgrading my 20gal
Hey everyone. I noticed my clownfish on its death bed breathing heavy and on the sand. Looks almost like he was bitten but maybe it was a parasite. Never noticed anything before. Do you think this is a bite? I don't have any aggressive fish in the tank

Another clown. Bigger female
3 red fairy anthias
1 pajama cardinal
Sleeper banded goby
Green mandarin
Algae blenny
Fire shrimp pep shrimps

It's right under the fin

About a month. The female is probably about 5 yrs. has been through everything and lost her last partner to carpet surfing. They seemed friendly together. I didn't feed the tank for 2 days trying to fight hair algae. Maybe someone was hungry. Poor guy is still breathing but it won't be much longer

Hey Ostrow, good to see you around. How's the new setup going.

I never seen her being aggressive to him and now she's sad and hiding more than usual. Can a clown fish even bit that hard? never know they can take a chunk out of a fish.

He died over night. Should I add another?

If you add another I would keep him inside a hold tank so she can see him to see how aggressive she gets. clowns can get very aggressive when they get territorial and will bite.
