Clown fish eggs

I have read many different threads about hatching clown fish eggs. However I am not having any luck. this is the second or third set of eggs my fish have laid and I am unable to get them to hatch. It has been 9 days and all of the fry have silver eyes. I turned all of my bumps off last night for about an hour and a half. I turned off all of the lights and prepared a 10 gallon tank to put the fry in with water from the main tank. Am I missing something or does it sometimes take longer for the fry to hatch?

On another not I have tried to upload the pictures using the image tag but it never works how do I do it?

This has been actually happening to me too, all eggs are silver but none hatching, hopefully someone has an answer to this.

I have read that some eggs are just bad. However I can see the changes each time from start to finish. I also read the first few batches are less likely to hatch but this is at least the third.

Parental nutrition plays a roll, but the first few batches they are really just working it out.

Its a good thing humans don't work like this....

I shut off my lights, checked back in an hour and all the eggs were gone, I think my peppermint shrimp ate them. My male clown fish leaves the eggs whenever I shut off the lights. Does this happen with you too?

The eggs will hatch at night, so I guess they were waiting for lights out. Also temperature plays a role in how long hatching takes. Lower than 80 and they will take an extra day or two to hatch.

And also what kind of clownfish
I have heard that to much shrimp in the parents diet will harden the egg making harder for the larvae to hatch

Eggs will hatch at different amount of days for different pairs. With the temperature the same in all the breeding tanks on 1 system some eggs will hatch on day 7, day 8 & with 1 pair on day 9. Sometimes it takes 2 days for all the eggs to hatch
