clown fish jut spawned clutch of eggs help!!!!??

hows it going guys and ladies my clown pir just laid a clutch of eggs in the tank, was wondering why they were upside down and very prtective of the power head(near the glass) and looked closer and saw lota of mini lil orange eggs in a sticky sack of some sort there eggs and idk what to do ? any help or thoughts and pics are in my album very hard to aee im a get a better camera today.

Congrats on the eggs, for the 1st few clutches i would just let them be fish food. If you deceide you wanna raise them take a few weeks to read in the fish breeding forum and to collect the stuff you need.

thank u i had one actually hatch on its own with out even knowing one day i had. a extra clown and ended up being one of there young idk this is the first time actually paying attention to what there doing

That's not really the way it works, the fry will starve to death in our tanks without proper nutrition. I've had Breeding clowns for 10+ years and never even see any evidence of young after they hatch..

So someone played a trick on you with the extra clown or some thin g else altogether.

i agree with dapg8gt, although i haven't been breeding as long as him I do know the fry will not survive in our main tanks even if there was enough food for them (which is almost impossible without compromising the water quality), the parents and or other fish would have ate them if not the filtration.

ohh i guess so but theres deff eggs on the glass this time so if i wanna hatch these lil guys how amnigoing about this if you dont mind helping me out here lol. there on the glass and next to a small power head .

Look in the fish breeding section, lots of good info there, but your gonna need a spare tank (5-10 gal), rotifers and rotifer food (rotifers for their 1st food, and i would suggest rgcomplete for the food), air pump, air stones, heater, and lights. Thats just for the fry, then youll need diffrent foods and other stuff for grow out.

Also make sure you have plenty of salt on hand for all the water changes

I agree with shifty, there is no way you can save those fry.
If you get an anemone and the clowns bond to it, they will invariably lay their eggs next to the nem. If you place a suitable flat (removable) site next to the nem, they may lay their eggs on that and you will have a chance at saving the fry. You have to remove them on the night that they are scheduled to hatch.

thanxs guys apprciate the help im a get a flower pot they host a rose bubble but they dident lay em in there and i guys ill lets these go next time hopefully in a pot next time and i have one now atcually running and cycling with one clown in it 20 gallon was gonna use as a frag tank

20 gal will be to big imo for a fry tank, even when you use a 10 gal you only fill it with 3 gal of water, the smaller the tank the easier it is to have enough rotifers in the tank. The 20 gal will be a good growout tank though
