Clown for LTA

I'm a little new to the anemone and clownfish pairing. My tank had been running for 2 years now and I have found this really nice LTA and GBTA, I'm still debating on which one to get but I'm leaning more to the LTA which looks really healthy and big. In addition to this I'm wanting to get a pair of clownfish for my anemone. My question is what clownfishes will host a LTA and GBTA.

Thanks

What are your tank specs?

A e. quadracolor, or BTA will be the least difficult to keep, and may be captive bred (Id ask) You gotta feed it though.

I had a pair of A. ocellaris host in a H. crispa (sebae anemone) and they do not do that in the wild.

My vote for a BTA would be a pair of gold bar maroon clowns. These fish are breathtaking. I believe you can get them captive bred also.

I would go with Clarkii clowns. They host all the clown anemones and might mate for you. Congrats on having a tank that has been setup for two years. Most people want to get an anemone right away and most of the time, the anemones die off. More people should wait like you to get an anemone.

You have a 120 w/ good light, so whatever you want.
I have a sebae and LTA and love them both(pics in gallery)
Clarks went to my LTA and were cool until they matured, but then became mean to other fish.
Right now I have a WS maroon hosted by both.
WS and GSM's can be a pain to pair, and can be a bit territorial also, but they are so pretty, and nice contrast, so IMO worth what challenges they present.
Good luck.

Actually my avatar is a sebae.
Pics of both LTA and sebae in gallery.
Don't know which I like best.
That crispa does look nice!

Joyce wilkerson says in her book that Clarkii, Chrysogasters, Pink skunks saddles and sometimes maroons will host in them.

I would go for saddles as I think they are gorgeous.

Wow, thats a sebae? VERY NICE!!! I guess the picture is to small for me to tell. So its H. Malu or Crispa? Whatever it is, its nice.

And thanks for the compliment about my Crispa. ;)

Slakker, there are some real nice ones out there such as the electric green BTAs and the nice red RBTAs.

For years I only knew my nems as LTA and sebae.
I just recently ID my LTA as a Curly Q green macrodactyla doreensis.
Sebae I'm not possitive, but it looks very much like your crispa, and that would be my guess.
Love those purple tips, especially right after feeding they get really bright.

Yeah, I like how a lot of BTAs look, I'd just prefer they don't puff up their tentacles.

I just had a random thought...could the inflation of the tentacles be to increase surface area to absorb more light or have a higher chance to catch food?
