Clown stuck on bottom?

Hey all,

I noticed one of my clowns acting weird yesterday. It was swimming in place in the current all day (like a neverending treadmill). Then when the current died down, the clown was still on the bottom, swimming lightly and gills pumping somewhat hard. It appears as though the fish is not able to raise itself off the bottom. The other, larger clown is now near it, kind of hovering around the one on the bottom. Is this some kind of weird mating ritual, or is there a genuine problem? Any help much appreciated. Thanks

When clownfish are breathing hard, many time it is the beginning of desease. Keep an eye on it.

Thanks for the quick reply. It looks like it was more a case of a stubborn fish guarding a place in the sand and swimming on the endless underwater treadmill. I will definitely keep an eye on it though. Thanks again
